What we collect
- Your account: name, email, company, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password.
- Shipments: the addresses, package details, item type and value you enter, the statements you confirm, and tracking updates.
- Dealers: your license number and expiry, and which carrier agreements you have.
- Your balance history. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.
Why
To buy and print your labels, check the shipping rules, keep the records the law and the carriers expect for firearm and ammunition shipments, prevent fraud, and support you.
Who we share it with
The label platform and carrier that carry your package, the insurer you choose, our payment processor, and service providers that host our systems, each only as needed. If you buy through a marketplace that uses SmoothShip, that marketplace sees your labels and tracking. We don’t sell your information.
How long
We keep shipment records, including firearm and ammunition statements, for at least five years, and account data while your account is open.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, subject to the records we must keep. Contact us.
