How to ship automatic knives
Switchblades and OTF knives can't go by mail to ordinary buyers, and some states restrict them. UPS or FedEx, after checking the buyer's state.
Who can take it
Private seller → buyer in another state
- USPS: No
- UPS: Yes: Ground, 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, Next Day Air Saver, Next Day Air
- FedEx: Yes: Ground, Express Saver, 2Day, Priority Overnight
Best way: UPS Ground. UPS Ground is usually the cheapest for this.
Examples ship from Texas to Oklahoma. Your states can change the answer.
Before you ship
- Wrap the blade so the edge and point can't cut through the box.

- Automatic knives are restricted in some states and cities. Check the buyer's state (AKTI keeps a list).
